Having such relationship could be blessing and could be curse as well.
Why curse?
Because the other person can always lie about anything. (but lies you can get in 3D life as well, it is just easier to get them online)
Because some people are looking only for green card and would sell mother and father to get it. (my uncle is going trough that, but he is blind enough to see, good for him)
Because some ppl don't feel what they don't see or touch.
Why blessing?
Because it is easier to find ppl that think and feel in same way as you do.
Because it is easier to be open on Internet.
Because in caffe you can meet 2 or 20 ppl and on Internet you can meet 200 or 20.000.
But, in your particular case I have to tell that it reminds a lot on my particular ex-case and I think that EX means something.
We had great long coversation one day... and than he left for almost one month and when he came online... finaly (in time when I wasn't suppossed to be there) he went instantly offline. Clear case of avoiding.
Do the math. I did.
Still that doesn't mean that longdistance relationships have no chances at all. One failure doesn't mean always failure.
When I broke up... I cried over 4 hours in row on my firends shoulder. And that shoulder was and is in another country. and owner of that shoulder I have never personaly met. But he told me many things I am telling you now. And he was right.
So... If we can have online freindships, we can have online relationships as well. We just need to find right persons. For both.

If they can't email, they could still snailmail. If you haven't heard in a month, that suggests they're not interested.
A long distance relationship can work: I have two friends who are happily married after dating across 3,000 miles or more. However, it's more difficult when you're from different countries, because you have different standards and expectations.
I'd write a few times, and if you don't hear anything, I'd give up. If you have any friends there, perhaps they could check in with the person and make sure s/he's okay, but there really isn't much you can do.

Long Distance relationships are hard work and very frustrating. I had one where we talked every day and I saw him once a week. And still there was a lot of unfullfillment.
IF the relationship doesn't not advance after a year or two there is something wrong with it, trust me!

You will be like Sleepless In Seattle. Trust me it wouldn't work. I speak from personal experience. Well there are three options. Either you break up with her first or she does or just be friends. If you haven't heard from her last Xmas which it probably means she have find somebody else. Sorry dude but that's the harsh reality.

If you haven't seen since Christmas then it's not a relationship but a friendship. Keep in mind that it take two to be in a relationship and it sounds like it's just you in it.

in my opinion and experience... long distance relationships never work out and never last... if you really love this person u just got to let them go. Ive learned that sometimes u cannot always be with the one you love. If its really ment to be, it will find its way.
