I have seen a job for part time work which I am interested in, I need a cover letter, but I have no idea how to write on.It is for a baby equipment retailers http://www.tonykealys.com/

The only relevant experience I have is that I have a two year old daughter and am a real people person.
I currently work as an adminisrator for a software comapny and would really like this job as I need extra cash as I am trying to buy my own house...that's my real motivation but obviously I can't say that.

All help would be gratefully received and if any more info is required, just ask or drop me an email.

Thanks!

Well I think its OK to say you want extra cash to buy your own house: one of the things an interviewer thinks whilst talking to someone is "will this person be reliable ?" and your motivation makes you reliable. Having a small child means you will be able to chat to customers & put them at their ease, so that has to be a good thing too.

In a cover letter, your telling the person your interest in the job and your skills. You should mention that you are a people person and how this would help in the job. Also, if you have any other special skills you should mention them as well even if they don't seem relevant. Play up these aspects because you might need them. Tell them you learn quickly or something along those lines. Remember: just be yourself.
