He's a liberal.
He voted straight party lines.
He even voted against confirming John Roberts... a nomination widely hailed as a great, well-qualified choice.

No, I'd say more of a moderate liberal. Take a good look, he leans more to the liberal side. Also, look at more than his stance on just the war in Iraq, for one thing hes pro-amnesty.

He has a liberal voting record in the Senate. When speaking, he's careful to be wishy washy. Therefore, he seems neither liberal nor conservative.

He leans to the left. He isn't moderate, he and Hillary are pretty much the same in idealogy. Obama supporters tried to paint him as a moderate but he isn't. He isn't Pelosi but he isn't a moderate, either.

all these terms are very subjective and don't really mean anything
but yes, in the overall scheme of things, he is moderate.
and by that, i simply mean that he isn't some ultra-leftist, socialist, radical anarchist. nor is he some ultra-conservative. he's pretty much in the middle, in the mainstream, leaning more towards the left, but not that far.

Hes fairly moderate, he is an upstanding democrat though. I think he is exactly the kind of new blood we need in politics in this country.

I'd say he's just a tad left of center. But i'm sick of people making Liberal a bad word. And to be fair, i'm tired of people making conservative a bad word. Why can't we just respect each other's opinions?
