well, i think morals come from within... for example, let's say u took a group of people and plunked them on a desert island. of course at first, there might be some type of anarchy, etc. there may be attempted murder, killing, stealing, selfishness, etc. but after awhile, you learn what things are Negative, or "bad", and what are Positive, or "good". so, when someone steals from you, you get upset! and so, u learn somehow eventually, that u shouldn't steal from others if u don't like it done to you.

and from there, the group will probably form some time of government, or "rules", to live by, in order to somewhat respect everyone's "rights" to stuff.

i think this is true w/ most people.. eventually u learn morals and values by how you would like to be treated, and what positive things come out of ur actions. if u feel like smiling when someone gives u some food, and feel grateful, u learn that if u give to others, they may feel like smiling and grateful.....

deep down i think all humans have that underlying sensibility and common sense.... it's just hidden deep deep deep down under all the education, over analyzing, worried, anxious, selfish, obnoxious behavior and thinking that we've been accustomed to.

Morals are personal ethics - and ethics is a branch of philosophy. However, most people do not have time for learned arcane studies. They therefore develop their personal morality from what they are taught, what they experience in their society, and from what they conclude is right or wrong within their own judgment. Generally societies have a collective idea as to what is right or wrong behavior, and this affects the thinking and conduct of every member of that society even if they regularly flout particular precepts. Most people find that leading a life that accords with their own view (however formed) AND the public codes of the societies in which they dwell, leads to a happier life. This remains true even if it is not the most lucrative life.
There are certain things that all sane humans regards as wrong or immoral - for example, killing someone without good reason. That this is natural is shown by the fact that most animals do not prey on or kill their own kind except in desperation Hope this helps - it is a very big subject.

When you buy a toaster you read the instructions before you use it. Like: Don't stick a fork into the toaster while it is on your lable to get shocked.
The same is true of people, the one who made us should be able to say how the product can be used.
1 Corthians 6:9 “Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men. Will inherit it god’s kingdom
Can't be any plainer than that and the ten commandments which seems to be the only scripture read says "don't commit adultry"
What happens when this happens?
Unwanted babies born out of wed lock? veneral disease, AIDS,
divorces and disgusting behavior.
That was a special gift from God that brings forth life and joins two people in a beautiful bond of love. Out of wed lock it becomes a game and a matter of Lust.

They have been passed down through the ages. The earliest record we have that concerns the concept of morals goes back to the earliest of cultures, the Sumerian culture. Remember learning about the Code of Hammurabi when you were in school? Societal norms, which are the way society expects us to behave are one source of moral code. Morals and ethic were the topic of discussion for philosophers such as Aristotle and Plato. Society would have to have morals from its inception. Otherwise, humankind would not have survived. They protect the fabric of society.
