I am interested in English, History, and Psychology. My Mom is trying to push me towards journalism, but I don't think I have the personality for it. Thanks for your help.
P.S. Please tell me what school you think would be best as well.

What kind of job can I get with the major you suggest?

Study english, and focus on the two other areas. Communications might also be an option, as it's usually a better career for those who don't like journalism.
Penn State University has a wide variety of majors & class choices, so you can major in English and take all sorts of History and/or Psych classes if you want. Plus you can change majors and have credits transfer without any hassle. They have career advisors too, with PLENTY of experience.

Do NOT major in English. I have a b.a. and m.a. in English and can tell you from experience that the only thing you can do with those is write and teach. And writers don't really need degrees; they need portfolios. Otherwise, the fact is (if you've noticed Internet text lately) that the business world really does not care that its language is correct. While you might find employment with an ad agency, that's not so much a function of language skills as it is a function of how much one is willing to create nifty lies.
History is almost as useless as English; again, if you'll be teaching, fine.
Psychologists can make good $$. While I personally disagree with the entire field, it has done a very good job of creating more customers, so an advanced degree in psychology should see no problem finding employment.
Best school: your state university. It is your best bang for your buck. No one will ooh-ahh over your school. They'll look at the degrees you earned, and the state universities are always reputable. It merely means that you were poor, couldn't afford a private school, but you pulled yourself up by your own bootstraps, which itself is extra points.

Well... really all of that depends on you. If you don't think you have the personality for journalism, then don't do it. Do you enjoy teaching? Because you could teach english and/or history (and you could even minor in psych and take some child devolopment classes in order to inprove teaching). This is just a suggestion, because I don't know you and I don't really know what you want to do. I'm having trouble deciding what i want to do, and I'm already in college.
