do they mean : discuss the word "play" in human development.
do they want you to examine and talk about the concept of "play" in human development? what people do besides "work"? what role "play" has in society? etc
don't know if this is what they mean...

Play is healthy for growth and development. It's where we can test and learn our limits and boundries without getting hurt or falling into danger. All animals play. They test their strength and learn how to cope and adapt by playing, and they discover how to get along in groups.
