I'm very curious about a movie I saw many, many years ago. All I recall is that it was about Sr. Citizens living in an apartment that was scheduled to be shut down. They were fighting to prevent the closure and killed younger people who were against them. There was one scene where they killed a nurse and they put her on a wheel chair and were pushing her dead body down the street until they dumped her body on a train. They also buried some building inspector in cement. The movie ends sadly with the demolition of the building while some of the elderly were dead and still in the building. It takes place in the US (probably the east coast, New York or Chicago) but I cannot remember the name of the movie at all other than the fact it left an impression on me when I saw it. Please help. The movie was sometime around 1972-1980.

I'd say it's arguably a black comedy.

It sounds a little bit like Death Wish 2 or 3 with Charles Bronson.
