Have you ever fancied a friend's brother? I met my friend's brother the other day and he is really lovely and we got on so well. He is married and therefore my question is NOT related to whether he likes me, whether I should pursue him or anything like that- that is not even a possibility and I would not go there.
I just found it really strange to meet a good friend's sibling having known my friend for a number of years and then find him attractive. I've been single for a while now and don't often meet people I get on with that well. Has anyone else found that and did you find it a bit weird and confusing?
Just after some reassurance and other peoples take on it. Thanks.

Yes but my experience was when I was in my teens so probably not comparable to yours.
I couldn't tell my friend but she must of known because I couldn't walk across the room in his presence without tripping over or eat without missing my mouth!
He was only two years older than me but I'm sure he only ever saw me as a clumsy little girl!

I went to school from the age of 11 and me and my best friend were inseperable. We're still best friends and we're 35. During my friendship with her I have had a HUGE crush on her brother. I'm happily married with a daughter, but I still fall apart whenever I go to visit my friend (lives about 200 miles away) and her brother is there. My husband knows how I had a crush on this brother and used to be a bit jealous, but just accepts it now.
I once went on holiday with with my friend and her family when I was about 18 and me and the brother got very very close (no kissing, but a little too much touching) and when I went home I asked him whether he might be interested in a relationship. He turned me down because he was involved with a married woman (swine) and was a bit confused, however he asked me to wait until he's sorted himself out. I didn't. I went a married a complete pratt (that lasted 2 years) and then met my current husband.
I now think of this brother as a bit of an icon - sort of like a film star.
Men - don't they do your head in.

Oh definite. She replaced into 3 years older than my chum and that i. We have been all stable acquaintances and skinny dipped and performed video games and did in basic terms approximately each and everything mutually. regrettably, we in no way had an relatively date.

yes, he wasn't married though but in a relationship. I didn't go there becuase I was 15, I told my friend though, but she didn't see him in the same light. It was strange, not at all confusing, i always knew I was straight, but I learnt a good lesson in self control, I repeatedly told myself stop staring.

Sure its a natural reaction. The fact that you're attracted and have chemistry is great, but its good that you understand that nothing can happen.
