i think that is a deep describe of the true value of a perfect man. so the writer belives that the only good thing the only thing that can be good in a man life is his story. i belive is a start of a story about one thrue man who adore a woman which dont fall on his tricky words. i belive it is a simple descrie of a man in love story.
