Wiper blades should be changed annually, and if all your driving is in town environments where pollution is higher then perhaps twice a year.
Clean the screen with Mr Muscle window cleaner and wipe all the crap off the rubbers on the blades with kitchen roll soaked in Mr Muscle. If that doesn't cure it then get new blades, and keep your screen clean, and the wiper blade rubbers as well.
If you use a wash-and-wax solution to clean your car then that will build-up on the screen and blades and produce problems such as you describe. Try using Decosol Windscreen washer additive in your screen wash bottle. It's an excellent product, far better than all the other additives. Mix it at 33% strength for winter use.

I had that problem and tried different blades in my case though it didn't help. The cure for mine was to order a new wiper arm - The spring in the arm had worn out over time and it wasn't putting enough pressure on the blade so it was squeaking and jumping over the windscreen. It wasn't too expensive to replace either (£20? I think). Just another suggestion, though with a new car I doubt this is the problem, but you never know I suppose.

Possibly a choice of three things,or all.If you have a diesel engined car this often causes a judder when engine fumes get onto the windscreen. Also it might be the rubber on the blades, they might need changing. It's always wise to clean your windscreen with spirit occasionally due to the fumes of other traffic.

A couple of things to try (if you hvent already...)
wash your windscreen a couple of times with HOT soapy water.
Add a few drops of washing up liquid to your screenwash solution
Try replacing the manufactueres blades with a cheaper, own-brand blades (I use Halfords), as the rubber seems a little softer
Soak the blades in hot water...
Worth a go anyway

Sometimes it depends what chemical was used to clean the screen. Try cleaning it, and the wipers with neat screen wash.
