You just need to contact the federal credit bureau and they'll send you one, but there is a fee. If, however, you've been recently turned down for a loan, you are entitled to a free credit report. Just contact them. Good luck to you.

You don't get a credit report when you get a credit card. I'm assuming you're referring to getting credit history with the use of a credit card. If you don't have any lines of credit, you likely won't have a credit score. But if you have a cell phone or any other loans or monthly liabilities you'll probably have a credit score.
You can get a free credit report at www.annualcreditreport.com but it doesn't contain any credit scores, just credit account information.

This is a site created by the gov't to force all 3 reporting agencies to provide one free report per year. You do not need a credit card to get any of them.
ALL OTHERS WILL CHARGE YOU FOR SOMETHING. Free Credit Report.com requires that you sign up for a credit check service that is something like 90 bucks a year after your free trial if you don't cancel it quick enough.
