You can plug them into each other without any problems. It would have the similar effect of plugging in a gfi into a circuit breaker protected plug, nothing bad happens it just gives another layer of protection.

The instructions that came with my latest purchase said not to plug this in to a GFI Plug. It gave no reason, I did not follow instructions and so far everything is working fine.

Yes, you can. You are just simply adding an additional layer of protection to the device you want to run. It's really not necessary but if you are going to do any extreme it's always better to side with safety. Good luck with your project and stay safe!

Yes...it won't hurt anything. You just may need to press reset on both devices if it trips. plug away.
