Take Beyonce's song "Irreplaceable". Why is that song so popular??? IMO, it isn't even close to being great! Yet, some of the people proclaim, "Oh that's my SONG!" like it's the greatest song on earth.
Two other disposable "singers" by the names of Fergie and Justin Timberlake are also played to death on the radio with bad bad songs.
Please share. Thank you for your time.

I agree, but I think it comes down to hype - depending on the artist, if they are already popular, all their songs will instantly hit the top 40 lists. It's sad...and they are all grossly overpaid.

It's called "pay for play" - most radio stations accept kickbacks of some sort for playing specific artists' songs. Well known in the business.
