are you as tired as i am with studios that think gross out movies like Hostel and Holls Have Eyes are scary. If i want to puke i will drink too much, i want to be scared and burning some asian girls face off or raping a young girl isnt scary to me its just sick. So if you have any suggestions of movies old or new that are scary and not just sick, let me know

Dont think I'm a stick in the mud who cant handle gore. Some movies are scary and gross at same time thats ok. Like i enjoyed Saw and movies like Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street. But gross just to be gross is getting old quick.

THANK YOU! Those movies are getting so old. It's the same stupid torture and kill cr*p. "Hills Have Eyes" "House of a Thousand Corpses" "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" etc. etc. etc. It's the same plot line over and over. Unfortunately, it's the trend now, and probably will be for a while. Give me a good, intelligent, scary ghost story.
Have you seen "The Others"? That was a good one. There's some classics like "The Turn of the Screw" , "The Shining" (The original version) "Rosemary's Baby", "Amityville Horror" (Original Version), "The Thing", "Carrie", "28 Days Later", the "Evil Dead" series, "American Werewolf in London" , "Ginger Snaps" , "Near Dark" , "The Howling" , "The Fog" (original version) , "Stir of Echoes" , "Silent Hill" , "Event Horizon" , "Salem's Lot" (original version) , "Snakes on a Plane" (Just kidding)

i dont blame you, im kinda getting tired of the gore also. hostel was nasty, and i didnt see the hills have eyes, but all those new movies are just getting grosser and grosser.
try renting some older movies, the classics. theyre not as gruesome, like friday the 13th, halloween, prom night, etc. Go for the classics. back then, they didnt use all the blood and guts. i also, liked the "teen ones", like scream, i know what you did..., ones like that. scream is a definate classic.

I agree, Hostel was the sickest movie I ever watched. I really can't even think of any good horror movies anymore since its been so long since they made one that isnt really sick. I like the halloween movies or Cold Creek Manor, Sleepy Hollow, The Frightners, or Return of the living dead, The Guardian is really good too.

"The Hills Have Eyes" is fabulous if you watch the original. The gore doesn't even come close; it is more suspense than anything. It is the same with "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre."

Once I heard 'Quentin Tarantino' I decided I was not going to see Hostel. Problem solved.
