It would be good for awhile but let's just say something catasrophic did happen and we were left with nothing but our survival instincts, how long do you think it would take before humans rebuild civilizations, rebuild everything lost? A couple of hundrend years maybe and even if we sent messages to the future to warn future generations of our disasters do you really think they will listen. Probably not, they will say well we know better than them, just like we did, ,,,,,,,,,,so it would be nice for awhile but it will just start the circle over again and maybe thats the whole point its the way its supposed to be.

Anyway, I think it's not so good. There is going to be a massive media hype and then the day after, everything will be exactly the same. It will be like Y2K.
