The 85 Bears were better. The defense as whole was way better. McMahon is ten times better than Grossman, plus, they had Walter Payton and a ridiculous offensive line.

1985 - I don't think there was a team in the entire history of the SB that could have beaten those guys, they were as close to the perfect football machine as its possible to get in an imperfect world!

The 2007 Bears on the other hand, barely squeeked by an struggling, injury-plagued Seahawks squad and even that took overtime at home. This Bears team wouldn't have stood a chance against the Chargers, Ravens or Pats and certainly won't either against a red-hot Colts team. Its a good year for the Bears, but it ain't no 1985!

The 85 Bears were a lot better.

I think the Bears will be contenders for at least a couple more years if the y can keep their defense healthy and playing like they do. If their offense gets better they will definitely be contenders.

Oh I dunno, you tell me:

Which car is the better, a Lexus or a Chevy Pop?

Which team played better this season, the N.O. Saints or the Detroit Lions?

Which meal would your rather eat, cold mac and cheese or steak and lobster at Ruth's Chris Steak House?

Who would you rather have at your back in Baghdad, a regt. of US marines or a regt. of French pastry chefs?

"Which is a better bears team 1985 or 2007?"

Your question is silly, silly, silly, silly................

The Indy Colts will crush the 2007 Bears like insects on Feb. 4th. The SB will be over for the Bears before the first half ends! Against the '85 Bears, even these Colts with Manning wouldn't have stood a snowball's chance in Hell..........

3 Hall of Famers (Walter Payton, Mike Singletary, Dan Hampton) and quite possibly the best defense ever. They were the undisputed best team in football, while these Bears, despite all their talent, threw up a bunch of clunkers in the weak NFC. The 2007 Bears are good, but the best was the 85 Bears, absolutely no question.

'85. This may the last time that we see the Super Bowl for a while. Unless the NFC continues to suck.
