We're high school seniors and this is our last dance before prom. The dance is not as formal as prom. She has a beautiful bright yellow dress. I was just wondering what color shirt, tie, or whatever I could wear to complement her.
Any suggestions?

You could match either a shirt or tie (if that dressy) to her dress. Purple is opposite on the color wheel so your shirt or tie could be that color instead. Then there's green which is a secondary color to Yellow which is a primary color.
Also, a wrist-let (corsage for the wrist) is a nice touch, again, if the event is that dressy.

Get a yellow tie. You could get a white/cream/grey dressy shirt, and a pair of black/ tan dress pants. Just don't wear tennis shoes or flip-flops...trust me she will not be impressed.

I would ask her. ;) She'll be flattered that you want to look good with her and might even be able to take her dress into the suit store to help you pick out a tie or shirt that matches - or she might want you to wear all black or grey so that you don't detract from her!

A nice pair of black slacks with a white shirt and yellow tie will compliment her nicely.

Maybe a pretty ribbon in your hair or a mini dress so you will make her look prettier. hehe
