Go to the moen website, they have a guide you can use. Gives steps for faucet, shower & kitchen sink faucets. Go to www.moen.com and search on 1225 cartridge, select installation help/animated tutorial.....

Moen cartridges are very simple. 1 turn off the water at the stops in the cabinet 2. remove the handle 3. you should see a copper horse shoe looking copper clip. pull this out at the tab of it sticking out of the body of the faucet. 4. pull the main spindle straight out.( if it sticks, use a pair of needle nose pliers to turn the tabs, that the copper clip were against, around to loosen them up) 5. insert new cartridge with moen on the side of the cartridge to the left. 6. put clip back in from the top. 7. re install handle 8. turn water back on. 9. use faucet normally! good luck! write my e mail if you need more help.
