Why do people constantly pick on us gays and lesbians? and why do they say we are going to hell....who told them that? Not god, thats for sure...

If you ask me, their hatred for us kinda feels empowering. Being gay doesn't really seem to me to be that big of a deal, but when people think it is, well, then I guess my sexuality holds them back from living in their idea of a perfect world and they are giving us the power to do that. To think, my private life could have that much effect on some people that they feel the need to use profanity and quote a book I believe to be a work of fiction at me. Ah, so refreshing. I decided I'm not going to take offense to it anymore. I'm not gonna change because they think I should. I'm happy being me and you should be too.

I see a lot of responses on here from people who say Christians are the ones that do this the most. As a true Christian, they should know that only God will judge people, not us. I do not think gay people are bad or wrong or going to hell. God gave us all a mind of our own to decide what kind of people we want to be while we are here on earth, I say be who you want to be, and let those people be who they want to be. Live your life and ignore them.

People that pick on gays and lesbians are either cowards or they are mentally ill. They could be a combination of both. Regardless, take comfort in knowing that you're a better person than they are and far more intelligent.

The people who say that are probably going to hell themselves because it doesn't sound like they are being nice and trating others how they would like to be treated. Jesus wouldn't treat anyone like that.

Because they are narrowminded and bigotted they refuse to see how their attempts of puting down LGBT forum or anyone else who doesnt agree with them is clearly defining their religion as inadequate to those who read their questions.
