The rule of thumb on this one is..."Always get it in writing." Since you didn't there's probably not much you can do. This happened to me when I started a new job. They promised me a raise after 3 months if my review was good, which it was. Unfortunately, they got a case of amnesia and I didn't get it in writing. So, I walked into his office one day and told him to go F*ck himself. It was the best feeleing ever !

Grin and bear it unless it's in writing, I doubt that though. Be happy you're employed, unless you are in an area that isn't emplomentally challenged.
