Yes! I am a liberal republican and in favor of allowing abortion. To those that say it is impossible, I over myself as proof of their errors! Republicans must be in favor of freedom above all other things, and that means allowing things we don't approve of.

Once upon a time most Republicans were pro-choice. Gradually, however, the "pro-life" movement came to dominate the Republican party (it took about 25 years for this to happen). Now it is one of the Republicans major issues.
Of course you can still join the party: you just won't find very many people who think like you do on that issue.

Sure you do not have to agree with every position that is deemed a Republican issue there are plenty of Pro Choice Republicans. I am not one of them I think it is Immoral and selfish the time for a choice is before the sex happens no condom no sex that is a good choice sex without then wanting to kill the resulting Innocent child that is a bad choice.

You are suppose to be an independent person dealing based on the issues. Using your spirituality, which is using what you learned THAT YOUR SPIRIT FEELS IS RIGHT, to make decisions; rather than making your decision based on the group you belong to.

You are not Latin, black, white, etc. You are a HUMAN.

Yes, you can VOTE republican if they meet at least most of your standards; but don't forget to use your sense in determining who is speaking TRUTH.

Yes. You would probably be a moderate republican. I think any normal person has views all over the poliical spectrum, that no sane person could truly be only left or right.

For instance, I am very liberal but I want illegals out of here and welfare ended.

Of course you can. Very few people in any political party accept all of the party positions. People are just not that cut and dry in their thinking. There are extreme partisans on both sides who will try to tell you otherwise, but in reality they represent the minority in their thinking. It is good to have opinions and no one should be a lockstep follower. Be original in all things.

You can be whatever you want. Being a Republican doesn't mean that you have to agree with the party line 100% of the time. It just means that you are more likely to agree with them than Democrats. Make your own choice. Good luck!

Sure. You can also be a pro-life Democrat.

Or a Republican that's against the death penalty.

Or a politician and honest at the same time (ok, that might be stretching it)

There are pro-choice Republicans. I am a Republican/Independent (that's pissed off with the liberal GOP.)

The GOP is not a club that kicks you out if you have a different opinion. This is unlike the Dems that wanted to kick out the guy from Georgia that spoke at the Rep. convention (can't remember his name).

Personally, I think abortion is murder but I'm not going to tell someone they can't have one. That is THEIR choice, even though I think it would be a wrong one.

Sure - all you have to do is go down to your local registrar of voters, register as a Republican, and, voila, you are now a Republican in favor of abortion. Nothing to it, really.
