That's only in America and the west. The predominant culture has been to castrate males - not necessarily in the physical sense, but clearly in the epistimelogical /societal one.
The signs are all around you. Look at the courts - a woman merely needs accuse a man of rape, and he is innocent until proven MALE. Like those boys accuse of raping a lying black prostitute. Their lives were ruined, and they were lynched in the press - even by their own peers and professors - without a shred of evidence ever being produced. Right up until the day that they found out she was lying and that her panties had more sperm in them than a fertility clinic refrigerator - none of it matche the DNA from the boys she accused.
Look at divorce courts in America. Women get the kids 90% of the time. Men get the bills. Women get child support that they never have to account for, men get nothing but screwed.
No wonder sites like these are popping up left and right:

No wonder American men don't want American women for wives. They stopped being women.
Women have shrieked for equality - but that's not what they wanted. They wanted dominance and now have it.
Look at the recent cases of female teachers molesting underage boys: they are all free. The law is supposed to treat men and women equally, right? What would happen if a 30 year old male teacher had sex with a 14 year old girl and wouldn't leave her alone... would he be free? I don't think so.
Women murderers get off with a slap on the wrist. Especially when they murder their husbands. All they need do is say he was mean and humiliated or embarassed them.
A vagina is not only a "get out of jail free" card, but when combined with tears, can suborn justice and be used to oppress males.
Gentlemen, in America today, you are only innocent until proven male.

Wow. you have a pretty negative outlook on marriage. Marriage is never meant to be a relationship where one person dominates the other. Be it man or woman. Marriage should be look at as a partnership. A team. Yes, there are marriages where the woman can be considered dominate but there are also many marriages and relationships where the man is very dominate and sometimes abusive. So really..one can ask the same question about guys who act that way....I think you have some really negative examples around you and I hope for your sake and for the sake of your (future?) wife you find some healthy examples of what marriage should be.

If that's what you want, that's what you get. You're really generalizing. I know many people (including myself) who have fantastic marriages based on equity and communication. If there isn't respect someone eventually gets hurt. If there is respect and both members of the marriage insist on it, problems can be solved without hurting each other. People marry for a variety of reasons and they get a variety of results.

Um I don't know whom you've seen married but the couples I know its more of a 50/50 thing. A compromise. I really don't see any men in my circle getting um "castrated". I think you fear that so much, and you believe that so that is what you are attracting.

Relationships are always, without exception, give and take. If you only take, you will not have to worry about those relationships long. If the trade offs are worth the benefits, you are in good shape.
Love is not a noun, it's a verb.
