You can start a Neighborhood watch and get to know your neighbors and your children's friends and their parents. Get involved with your child's school or get rid of graffiti in your neighborhoods and re-claim them. Call police about problems in the neighborhood.

You can also Contact Rep Sheila Jackson-Lee a Democrat from Texas and tell them you do not support criminalizing people of any faith in her proposed HR Bill 254! Just because people believe in religion makes them criminals! You can call your elected Officials about this abridgment of Freedom of Speech in violation of the United States Constitution by calling: 1-877-851-6437 Or 1866-340-9281. You can email and fax them too.

I think if we start "giving" in as small ways as possible and enhance scope as your wealth increases will ensure that to some extent the have nots population is taken care of by the have's. secondly if economic growth is going to be lop sided then there is bound to be problems in the long term. police should come as the last resort and not the first choice. if crime increases you know either there is a cunning politician who wants his bit or a genuine case of lopsidedness. On one side you see farmers killing themselves unable to pay debt and the other side you see someone is added to the fortune 500 list, there is some flaw somewhere. If you are a capitalist I think police is your best bet But india is not america, it has a massive population to deal with unless your heritage is inculcated at the grass root level and education is wide spread, crime is something you may have to live with in future
