considering that even scientists don't all agree on the fact that global warming is a hazard or if it is just a natural phenomenon, why should a forecaster have to pay for having an opinion. we are, after all, supposed to be allowed to think for ourselves, and even if an organization doesn't agree with you, if you have done the work to get in, you shouldn't be kicked out because you have an opinion they don't like. that is just another form of thought control.
scientists are supposed to encourage thought, but instead I seem to see a lot of them hating the idea that anyone might not agree with what they think. there was a huge debate about weather or not to revoke a professors tenure at some university out west because he believed in Bigfoot and was doing research to try to prove it's existence. as long as he does his job well, why should that happen?
these instances reek of the middle ages, where questioning the Church was considered a sin and could get you killed or disinherited. whatever happened to scientific thought, and allowing others the freedom to have their own opinions?

I don't think it's fair. They have the right to have their own opinions, the only problem I would have is if it affected their professionalism as weathermen and forecasters. For example, ranting about global warming or the lack of it when all I want is a weather report.

No. Global Warming is a theory and hasn't been proven. Scientists and other know-it-all's blame warmer weather on imaginary holes in the ozone layer. They can preach until they're blue in the face, but there are still some people who won't believe it and they don't have to. It's a free country.

To throw people in jail because they don't believe what u want. This is still a free country and the more u try to force the less people will believe.

Your right that would be a form of censorship. Maybe she should lose her certification because she believes in something that has no basis in scientific fact. How would she like that?
