You are right. God made all people in his image. He loves all his people. I believe he made people different from each other in order to test our own hearts and see if we can really love each other as brothers and sisters.

It's this basic question that forces most evangelical Christians to INSIST that being gay is a choice.

Because if it is NOT a choice, then one of three things would have to be true:
- God is OK with gay people, despite what the Bible says
- God is cruel in creating something he hates
- God doesn't exist

Using "Bible logic," being gay MUST be a choice, because all the other options are taken by evangelical Christians as obviously untrue.

No amount of science on the topic of homosexuality will shift this belief for these people, either. Even when science eventually conclusively proves homosexuality is inborn, they will deny it and call it junk science and/or secular lies.

Why? Because the alternative would be to stop hating and actually start loving (in the Christian sense) gay people, and that would make their little worlds would come tumbling down around them.

You are exactly right. Unfortunately, the Bible has been misinterpreted and mistranslated for so many years that people and the church came to believe that God was against homosexuality. Generation after generation have continued to pass on incorrect information. It's a shame, really.

Admittedly, it ought to no longer unavoidably be a decision. Environmental components (adolescence molestation, human beings the guy hangs out with) have a ingredient additionally. regardless of this, nonetheless, you would be able to undergo in innovations that many different detestable sins are not consistently a wide awake decision. Is pedophilia consistently a wide awake decision? Does somebody upward push up at some point and say "you recognize? i pass to be a pedophile."? that's no longer how pedophiles and psychologists describe it. Is bestiality a wide awake decision? Is lust of any form a wide awake decision? What approximately if a son falls in "love" along with his mom and marries her while grown? No. they don't seem to be, yet there are scriptures interior the Bible that describe all of those as sins. So, from this, we are able to agree that the Bible is against pedophilia, bestiality, and lust, that are all no longer wide awake selections. yet, in spite of this, if somebody has a organic inclination to all of those issues (i think this is the way you will possibly define "born with"), why might God be against them? Plus, evaluate the incontrovertible fact that pedophiles argue an identical factor homosexuals do. A pedophile being interviewed on CNN in a prison speculated that he replaced into born with the habit. John Walsh (no longer a pedophile, of direction) on Larry King stay speculated that pedophiles may be born with this habit and that they choose medical care. the incontrovertible fact that pedophiles can get help for the thought they are born with it and that they choose medical care is surprising, exceptionally pondering the incontrovertible fact that this direction is oddly huge-unfold. Homosexuality replaced into first perceived as a "disease" and then, in 1973, the yankee Psychology association took it off its record of psychological ailments. top now, pedophilia is seen as a "disease." look huge-unfold? As for being born, we are all born with the inclination to pass against God's will. that's a effect of Adam's fall and sin being presented into the international. we are all born with the inclination to sin, even though it does not make it top in any respect. it relatively is why God may be against homosexuality, and pedophilia, and lust and marriage of one's dad or mum. they could have seemed to be organic dispositions, yet incorrect is incorrect. God bless you.

First of all lets assume God created us. If that is a fact there are no mistakes...including homosexuality, which is common in many species other than homo sapien. Second, we all know that God did not write the Bible, people did.
God is not against gays...homophobes are.

While some have frantically tried to "prove" people are born "homosexual", it is not true. I've raised children, grandchildren and a great grandchild. Children don't start thinking about sex from birth. Young children only become aware of sex if they have been molested (as most homosexuals have been), books and/or movies. Sex is like fire and water. It has within it both life and death. If one starts noticing all the sad and miserable things that have happened in their life, they will observe much of it has been caused by people not controlling their sexual desires. (i.e.) broken homes, broken hearts, rapes, molestation, kidnappings, murders, sexually transmitted diseases, perversions, etc

Exactly. People are just afraid of anything outside of the so-called 'social norm'. As unfortunate as it is, it's also true. This is the way I was born, and I don't need straight people telling me that it isn't, because they have no idea. Straight people are born straight, gay people are born gay. That's just how it is.

Consider the possibility that god does not exist... therefore there is no god to be against his own creation.

We are born this way because of him, and I don't think God hates gays. You're right, he created us all, and loves us all
