I already have the songs on the MP3 player i used bluetooth to download them.

I don't know how to convert MP3's to ringtones, but what i've learned w/ my dash is that you can record stuff on the voice recorder and set it as your ringtone. so u can basically record anything... voices, songs...anything...and set it as ur ringtone. it's a pretty nice feature, considering ringtones cost 2.50 now...u select start on the main menu, then go to accesorries, then voice recorder.......if u have any questions, pls feel free to email me....
