I read an interesting article about an actress friend of mine. Award winning South African actress, Terry Norton (she and I did a movie together years ago) was walking on the beach with her dog, which was unleashed.
She was approached by a black policeman who was apparently on a power trip and the situation escalated to where Terry was arrested and thrown in jail.
She was subjected to a body search and told that she was a 'white bi*ch' (amongst other things) and that whether she like it or not, 'blacks are in charge now.'
She was humiliated and called the most despicable racial and gender slurs, before finally paying a fine and being released.
Is this equal justice in the new South Africa, or is Terry a white bi*ch?

Hello again Brad.
Is Terry a white *****? I don't think so, also knowing her from years back (we also worked on the play 'Amadeus' together).
I have also had an incident, when living in Cape Town, where I was approached by a beach patrol cop & asked to leash my dog, because of the amount of people on the beach. After I argued that the particular part of the beach was 'dog friendly', I got into an altercation with this black gentleman, which ended up with my dog being 'threatened' to be put in the pound, and me being fined. Eventually I relented & put my jack russell on her lead & walked away.
The language that flew back & forth (with no one else in ear shot), would have probabley been about the same as Terry was subjected to: maybe me being slightly larger than the cop involved helped in that if he'd tried to strong arm me, I would have dumped him in the sea! Terry was obviiously not as fortunate.
I would urge her to now seek justice through a lawyer & the courts.

Terry needs to charge these policemen with Harassement and she should also charge them with racism . She must make them pay for her humiliation.
This behaviour is not acceptable.
I just read the article and am glad to hear that the matter is under investigation, by independant parties.
Hopefully justice will be done, however one has to ask why Norton did not just put her dog on the leash as requested. This would have prevented the whole issue.
Did she think that because she is "an award winning actress" that she would get special treatment. Why wouldn't she give them her name anyway. What difference would it have made?

Well, black people are not capable of racism. That is purely a white person phenomenon. Add that to the fact that she was a white South African and it is obvious that she was to blame.
Sounds ludicrous? Of course it does, but sadly that is the reality of the world today.
Imagine if the roles were reversed and it was white on black violence. Newspapers would have been up in arms and entire countries would protest the "terrible behavior" of that white person. (I recall the LAPD being involved with something like that a number of years ago where Rodney King was beat up.) On a similar note, look at what is happening in Zimbabwe. Whites are being killed like flies in the most barbaric fashion yet the world does nothing.
Racism is a two way street.

It just goes to show how f*cked up things are when white people do not take it seriously that real racism exists and most of it is coming from the Black and is directed at the White but of course we deserve it right?

She's a babe in total control of herself, just like me. We all know by now that the word equal justice doesn't exist in the new South Africa and if your skin is white then you will not be treated with respect. Remember, they are trying to get back at us. They hate us just as much as we hate them. You don't want to know what we call them. I can list it for you with pleasure but I'd rather not cause I might get suspended. Believe me, she's not the only one who gets humiliated. Most of us white South Africans hear and deal with it everyday. We can't do anything about it. The moment you open your mouth you get arrested. They are the majority and they have the power and they know it. They enjoy every moment of it.
