The most profitable and ongoing business to set up is a business that has these things: items everyone uses - food and personal items; is always open whether you are there or not - like an online store; doesn't require a big investment of money - a franchise model that already works; doesn't require employees - employees equals headaches; and has a support system to help you with all aspects - a training group. I operate a business like this and if you'd like to learn more about this kind of opportunity I can share some info with you.

When starting any business it is essential you do market research, especially a need for that service you are hoping to provide.
You must consider your strengths. Are you a good salesman, engineer, building tradesman, I.T specialist.
How much capital have you to invest.
How about trying a franchise, that costs money, but it does cover your back to a certain exteent by giving you publicity, dlients etc.
