I have.
The powers that be at Yahoo Answers have sent me a violation notice accusing me of solicitation regarding one of my questions that I posted in this category.

The question was about an alphabet game regarding players surnames.

When I read the email, I didn't know whether to laugh or put my fist through my computer screen.

I know there are two meanings for that word but only one sprung to my mind immediately when I read the email!!!

Oh well, thank you for allowing me to share this with you!

Well that is ridiculous. What exactly were you trying to solicit, by asking that question. You were not soliciting business, or business away from YA. You were not soliciting finances. Just answers and that is what this is about. Questions and answers. I could understand if some sad sack reported for chatting or not a question or answer,if they were petty enough, but solicitation, sorry , I find that inane. Fun, harmless questions are being reported and or deleted whilst abusive/threatening questions remain visible. It's really getting quite annoying. One of the TOS is we shall not rant, so I guess both this question and my answer have a good chance of deletion...lol

I am an old man of 44, and during th years I was volunteering at the Y, mentoring. I was accused twice, of misconduct. One by a mother who was abusive, and I reported her, and the other was by a neighbor. Although I was not charged, and I do not know why she did it she was arrested. I did not notice too much difference, I changed a little. I have been careful on the first incidence, not to hug a child very much, because I have seen good people hurt, and always in public. After the last one, even though my accuser was arrested, I backed away a little. And adjusted my interaction with the children. I would talk privately with a child, but just out of ear shot of others, never alone.

I hate that! And yes I have been accussed for no reason. Well, at least if some of my questions get to anyone, which would be my answers in that case cuz I rarely post any questions... That's just wrong but I guess that's a way Yahoo makes more money...

They totally misinterpreted your question! I think that overall Yahoo is becoming more strict with its policies. They are being a little unreasonable, I agree.
