Men are very simple animals. We all want the same thing in one form or another, and its not cookies or teddy bears or clothes are flowers... Why is this so difficult to understand? Are so many women REALLY that clueles about what makes men happy????

I am in trouble - I usually give the 10 points to the person with the cutest avatar, but I can't possibly choose among this group of beauties.

In reference to Valentines day, it is overrated anyway. Also, what men want, is usually what women want, but we usually don't admit it. Most women are difficult and don't understand how men aren't. I think that most women think to much into things, which is why most seem to try to go all out for a useless "holiday" like Valentines day.

Personally I love Valentine's Day.It's my birthday so I get real excited about the idea of getting a cute teddy bear or a small box of chocolates.A girl never gets too old for that.I only wish both sexes would do more showing of affection 365 days a year.Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

I think we need to just treat each other with love every day. There doesn't have to be a special day set aside for that, even though it's nice to be remembered. Women and men both want this same thing - physical and emotional love - so there doesn't have to be any confusion. But there is because human beings can't just be simple - they have to cloud things up. Go figure!

I get it... but since we do that regularly, it makes me wonder how to make it special and not like every other night. Also he always gets me such nice things, and he knows my favorite candy, I do want to reciprocate so he's not doing all the giving on that night.

This year I think I'll pay for dinner and get out some candles for later. Last year, it was massage oil, and we ruined some perfectly good sheets.

Yah, totally. But some just like to play dumb so they don't have to feel obligated to give that "special gift" to which you're referring. They aren't "clueless" so much as manipulative. Or maybe that's just me... hehehe >;-)

It's his loss. I gain much-needed sleep that I lack the other 364 days. Why should Valentine's Day be any different from the other days we um... share our special gifts with one another? This day is a lame excuse to spend money.

I hate Valentine's Day even when I have a boyfriend. Except for the chocolate, which I am perfectly happy to buy for myself.

Some people find the constant barrage of couples-oriented gifts and cards and lovey-dovey stuff a depressing reminder that they are alone at the moment.

Yes, yes they are that clueless.

Most also don't get it when he's just not that into you. They think men are so complex. NO, they aren't.

I get it.
