I met a guy at a party and a few weeks later I invited him to hangout at my house. Now my video camera is gone and I'm about 95% sure that he stole it. I've torn my house apart searching for it and can't find it anywhere... I know that if I straight up ask him if he stole it, he'll surely say "No." I don't have any proof to catch him with. The only reasons I suspect he stole it are because I don't know him very well, I wasn't watching his every move, and he shared with me a story of how he stole from his friend. Sure, I could lie and say that I have cameras in my house and I caught him stealing it, but what if he didn't take it and it's really hiding somewhere in my house? Then I'll sound like a complete liar! I really don't know what to do. I barely know this guy, but I'll surely see him again... although probably not for a few weeks. I'm too upset over the whole situation to just forget about it. Any suggestions??? (besides the expected "don't bring strangers to your house")

If you are not sure that this guy stole the camera, don't make any accusations, which may get you in trouble legally, if by chance the was stolen by him.

you'll never get it back without proof, but you can make his life miserable. find out where he lives. break some windows and slash some tires. then if he comes back at you saying that you did the stuff in retaliation for him taking your camera you can say, AH HA!!! YOU ADMITTED IT!!
