I get canadian coins, and people take 'em but I never know I have one untill I try and put it in a machine.
Thanks for the answers, I was just wondering if it happened to you guys too.

All the time. In Canada we accept American currency and of course it ends up in our change. Yes it is annoying that it won't work in the machines but what can you do? In the states they won't accept our change at all. What's up with that? I suppose it is because of the rate of exchange.

I get them all the time, I tried to get a paper with one the other day, couldnt figure it out at first, thought it was just the machine, turned out to ne a American quarter. i had to exchange it with someone, for one that would work!

I get Canadian quarters all the time and the machines here don't take them either, so we are both losing the battle.

Same happens in the US, too. Canadian coins don't work in our machines either and we are stuck with them!

I save them for when I go to the states. I don't see too many, other than pennies. Vending machines screw up often enough on their own, I don't get mad at the U.S. because of it.
