In CA last week, 2 gang members fired upon opposing gang members and in doing so, killed a 9 year old girl in a nearby house. They were charged with nothing as it was considered self defense.
Over the weekend, a man trying to protect his house (and the medical marijuana he grows because he has cancer) shot a 15 year old boy with an air rifle as alegedly they were trying to break in and brandished a hammer. The home owner was charged with murder, as well as the 15 yr old's older cousin as accessory to murder special circumstances.

I don't get what's wrong with the laws in this country.

Should I just give up and move to Canada already?

oh dude... don't EVEN get me started onthat case. 11 years for allegedly shooting him... I don't think they can even prove it was one of their bullets in his butt. I think that judge should be hanged for treason.

Don't move, we have the same problems here, there's lot of injustice done. where you would think they would get prison for several years but it never happens. The laws need to be made stronger so murders and others will think twice before they do things.

Yes, it is horrible. But look at the bright side. At least you don't live in Iraq, where there is every second day a terrorist bomb explosion! Although staying in the US is unsafe too....your country is going downhill. Go to Switserland! =]

I think injustices happen in all countries, if you start moving you will be a nomad. US is still the best place to live.
