They probably do not realize that Jesus is real.

They may have fallen for the multicultural lie that other cultures are ‘just as good’ as our own. (Notice that no other culture falls for that! Every culture thinks they are the best, or at least worth while. By trying to be ‘multicultural, we saw off the branch we’re sitting on, by no longer competing against other cultures for excellence. While they are happy that we’re no longer competing— they do not stop promoting their own culture and values.)

Getting back to what I said at first, most people do not realize that Jesus lived, died and rose from the dead again. They are more attracted toward the ‘magic’ or ‘supernatural’ of other cultures because it seems like something that can be used or controlled. (That is also what made the Force of Star Wars so popular.) But God cannot be controlled and will not allow Himself to be used.

Some people have not read the New Testament accounts and thus do not know that they are reliable historical records composed by honest, sober eyewitnesses, including hostile witnesses.

Some may have been mistreated by people claiming to act as Jesus’ representatives. He will deal most severely with those persons who have done this. This does not invalidate His claim to be God and His demonstrated miracles, including the Resurrection.

For many, perhaps for the majority of those who reject Jesus, it is not because they do not wish to believe. It is because they do not wish to obey. They want to be their own Lord. He will deal with them in His own good time.

I agree with what Dave said. There also have been anime that have completely altered things from the bible and new/old testaments. Animes like D-Gray Man and Fate/Stay Nights is an example. But despite of this. I still believe in the almighty god and love the J man. And besides, most of the users at the narutofan forums are mid teen idiots. So you shouldnt listen to much what they have to say except for Naruto related issues.

I an anime lover in the making and I don't hate Jesus. I'm a christian. But to actually anwser your question...it maybe because of the fact that many animes involve demons and supernatural powers and some people feel that christians can't believe or indulge in things like that. (But as a christian demons are something I believe in...not like the ones on InuYasha or animes like that)

Anime is geek-culture... extreme geek culture before it was 'cool' to like anime. Geek culture tends to attract the scientificly minded, the scientificly minded tend to be atheist or at the very least agnostic. That's why most anime fans used to not care one way or the other about Jesus.

Flip side of the coin, deeply religious people tend to be very defensive of thier religion, put of small handful of deeply religious people into a pack of atheists and you'll have some of them trying very hard for the conversion points. Geeky atheists are happy being just that, so having some of the deeply religious trying to shove relion down thier very disinterested throats has turned religious apathy to religious hatred. That is why so many anime fans hate Jesus.

Also keep in mind that a chunk of anime out there, a nice sized chunk is violent, sex-riddled or both. Not exactly what you'd imagine Jesus to watch on a Friday night.

I'm not saying that all christians are the shove it down your throat types, most aren't. But that handful of people who can't seem to allow anyone to hold a belief that isn't thier own ruin for the rest of us.

I grew up on anime and I admire Jesus. My problem is just with christians. And it seems like many christians aren't really that well connected with the teachings of Jesus...

Anyway, Jesus Rawks! or he Rawked! depending on how you want to look at it... lol

If more christians were like Jesus... the world would be a better place.

Immaturity.

And also being raised in a 'bad' 'Christian' enviroment also contribute to hating Jesus if they were raised as Christians.

Then there's also the anti-Christ factor that is so prevalent these days.

Besides, you got to remember that some of these people often said things like "'I hate xxxxxx, he/she is so xxxxxx".
