In leisure centres in London the price is usually £3-6 for an adult...it depends which day you are going there and what time...

Good God!, I thought it was like 50p or something so I am shocked to realise it is so expensive after reading the answers (and relieved - I was moaning 'cos my little boy has to do swimming lessons as part of the national curriculum and it costs £40 for ten lessons - 4 bloody quid a lesson - it's extortionate! plus the fact he can swim anyway!)

I took my daughter swimming on saturday morning and it cost me £8.00!!!! (including money for the locker) Ami really tight but i thought this was a hideous amount. When i was a kid it cost £1.00 and we would go every week with our pocket money and have a great time aswell as great exercise. No wonder kids these days are fat!! Sport is so expensive.

£2 for a lunchtime swim, £2.60 outside of the lunchtime swim. Members pay less and those with concession cards get 25% off either price.
