I think you want to know what the reaction of society at large is in regards to your preference.
Frankly, I think you are allowed to choose whatever you prefer, even if that means not dating your own race, or only dating one race, for whatever reason. This doesn't make your racist.
I date mostly white boys (I'm Mexican-American) for a couple of reasons. One, my junior high and high school years were spent at a school that was half white and half asian (just like my first boyfriend) - there was about 5% brown people (black and latino).
Also, I have been attracted to black men, but mostly black men not in Los Angeles (where I live) - black men from other states seem to be more culturally diverse (nerdy intellectual, punk, alternative music, alternative fashion sense, etc). I find the whole sports/hip -hop image a real turn-off, and in L.A. the majority of latino and black men have this image.
It's okay to say that you are attracted to white men, as long as it's not because you feel they are more valuable than black men or more valuable than yourself.
I would say that you should examine why you are attracted to one race over all others, just to be aware (since you're asking about it), and also maybe you would be open to dating people of other races if have those same qualities.

I'm at a loss to understand how everyone else is answering this question since you didn't even indicate your own race. If you are 'white' too, then the question is irrelevant. If you are a race other than 'white' or Caucasian, then you merely have a preference for 'white' boys intead of 'black' boys. Racist is if you are prejudiced toward, or discriminate against, any race other than your own, or if you think that your race is superior to any other race. You are not racist nor do you need any help.

I'm attracted to White men but I don't short change Black men at all! So right now I'm dating a brother who just happens to be real hi-yellow, 6 ft 1in and he's awesome in every way imaginable! Because I am of mahogany color, I prefer men who are lighter. They're just whom I've always been attracted too! And it's so funny because all of my girlfriends and my daughter claims that light skinned men have played out because they only deal with black chocolate men. Oh well I like vanilla, strawberry and chocolate type of women. Men are men the privacy is just a different color.

gurl get over what ever sterotype u have and start dating a black man. They have everthing u could want (not that a white boy doesnt). I luv me some Black men and some white aint nothing wrong wit that.

only on the fact of "their race". There are attractive
people of all cultures, many people are more partial to
their own ethnic group due to special interests, socioeco-
nomic and community settings. But excluding others
solely on race or accepting someone solely on race is
a racist view. Unfortunately it's hard for people in
America to understand this, since racism is a major
foundation of our society. If you grow up in sh2t, live
in sh3t and sh3t is all around you, then you accept sh3t

OK, just don't go thinking black boys are inferior.
I prefer white men too, and tall men, and athletic men, but its a preference and not a rule. Don't shut your eyes to NO ONE!!! You'd be surprised how good it can be.
