How does the Film Contact end?

I was watching the film last night on channel five, and I missed the last 50mins, can anyone tell me how it ends?

Badly!
Basically she sees goes to the other planet, meets her dad and then comes back but nobody believes she's gone anywhere because she's not been away (any time she was not in contact was only about a second) but the head set video recorder has 16 hours of stuff on it.

It's not worth watching the end if you've seen most of the film, it's a big disappointment!

jodie Foster gets to go in the new spacetime travel portal as the other one got blown up.
She travels through portholes ect until she gets to an island remember the picture she drew for her dad of paradise it was identical. She found her dad there but he was not really her dad it was an alien made to look like her dad so they did not frighten her. After a few tears and being told "small steps to take and there are more out there" she was dragged back into her machine and earth. When she come round they said the machine dropped down and she never went any where. It went to court and she made it clear what she saw was another planet and life and that there was more to the afterlife than they would imagine but because she could not prove it they did not believe her however when she come out of court thousands of people some in wheelchairs did. Her "boyfriend" told press he believed her they held hands and drove off.
Next the goverment man and the black presidential adviser woman had a conversation saying they would give her a very hefty grant to continue her work. She also asked why 18 hours of static were recorded and he said he did not know better forget it. So she did go through porthole and lost 18 hours and earth time five mins.
She was seen at the end 18 months later back in Mexico with her research no sign of boyfriend or weddding ring I looked as we women do.
Oh and John the big H man died in space.

They make the spaceship as the plans tell them to; we then focus on her, and watch her go through some wormholes and all that, then she gets to this beach. A man that looks like her dad comes over and tells her that he is an alien but changed how he looked to make the whole meeting easier for her to take in. Basically going to tell her that 'this is how it's been done for thousands of years' - the whole making the spaceship and meeting the other life form is how different races learn about each other.

After 18 hours, she gets back to Earth, but only to find that noone thinks she left in the first place - the pod didn't go anywhere to everyone that was watching - in fact it appeared to everyone else that the pod broke and fell off the structure it was attached to. OH NO!

Jodie Foster argues that what happened to her was real, and she was in space for 18 hours, but suprise surprise noone believes her. etc.etc.etc. she goes to court about it but still noone believes her. She gets together with that guy that is a vicar.

Then in the end, we see the President's aide ask some NASA dude why there was 18 hours of static recorded on her headpiece (which had a camera and mic attached)....

DUN DUN DUUN.

It is ruled that there are no aliens by the high court, but the judge - along with all who were on the project - knows that there really are aliens. The proof was that the observed fall lasts a few seconds, while the on board recorder had several hours of static...
