how can I move on?
will this hurt ever leave?
it’s just one last hug
one last laugh
one last hour
that I needed

why did he go now?
I can’t ever replace him.
he gave me comfort
all that happiness
all that joy
I’ll never feel again.

who even cares now?
my only hope has left me.
and now I struggle on.
no best friend
no protector
but I keep going for him.

will I ever forget
those last words he said?
“I love you baby…”
I never thought
I never guessed
he’d pass so suddenly.

Thump thump.
Thump thump.
Thump thump.
.......
Flatline.

The question is that i'm just having trouble coping. So I wrote a poem. and I wanted to share it in case anybody else was going through what I'm going through.

and I would like to know if anybody likes it.

Amazing poem, brought tears to my eyes. It sounds like you are getting over your boyfriend's/husbands death am I correct?
It takes time, plenty of time. It can even takes months and months.
My dog passed 4 months ago, and I still miss him dearly. My Dad passes away when I was 2 (I'm 15 now) and I still miss him dearly.
As the days go on it will be easier not to cry every day.
There will be some harder days though, there are some days where I cry my eyes out about losing my dog, but there are other days where I am happy for him that he went peacefully and can now live in no pain.
And with my Dad, I do still cry sometimes, but it happened and there's nothing I can really do about it except never forget the love he gave me.

One thing that also helps me going, is that I know that my dog and Dad will be the first to greet me when I go to heaven. Yup, that's the first thing I'll see, my dog and my Dad with open arms, and by the time I pass probably also my Mom and other family members.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Hang in there and be strong.

That is SO sad and well written. Every day I cry because my dad smokes so I know he's going to pass on soon. I can only begin to imagine your pain. Let him rest in peace in Heaven.

I'm sorry you 'lost' your love, my dear. You're grieving hard right now, but things will change and even 'get better' as time passes, but I know how you feel, and your poem is 'really good' about expressing that feeling, even if it isn't 'really good' as pure 'poetry' ... HANG IN THERE! You'll be 'okay,' with time to grieve.
