Hi,

The past night, the french tv has showed a live us football game. It's rare and I don't catch most of the rules but it was very pleasant to see ! I wish I was in the stadium.

I have heard that during the season, the players spend 6 months at least doing training (they don't play against other teams for the cup).

Too, if you can give me one or two name of good famous quaterbacks, I would like to seek in youtube for some videos.
Can you explain me why it's like that please ? (short) How many games the team that win the superbown has played in the season?

The football season is 17 weeks long. Each team plays 16 games. Then, they play a 3 game playoff with the top 6 teams from each league, where the two undefeated teams play a 4th game - the Superbowl. To get to the Superbowl you play 16 regular season games, then upto 4 playoff games. If you are one of the 4 teams with the best record you get a bye during the playoffs so you would only have to play 3 playoff games. This year Indianapolis had to play 20 games (including superbowl), Chicago played 19 games including the superbowl. The top 4 teams were Chicago, New Orleans, San Diego and Baltimore.

Top quarterbacks are - Tom Brady (New England Patriots), Peyton Manning (Indianapolis Colts), Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints), Vince Young (Tennesse Titans), Michael Vick (Atlanta Falcons).

Ok, most athletes train throughout the year, including footballers (like Henry) so it's not so strange that American footballers do so as well.

Good modern q'backs: Peyton Manning, Tom Brady (if you can watch the game those two played yesterday colts-patriots, you will be treated to a wonderful match), Donovan Mcnabb are a few

the season has 16 games, then the playoffs. If you do well in the regular season, then you don't play in the first round of the playoffs. Chicago, one team in the Championship (Super Bowl) won 14 games in the regular season, and two more in the playoffs. But you cant really say exactly

The NFL (National Football League) runs a schedule of 16 games for each team (1 game each week, almost always on Sunday). Each team also has one week off, or one "bye" week. They do NOT spend 6 months training. They will train during the offseason to keep themselves in shape.

In order to qualify the Superbowl, a team must finish first in it's division or finish in a Wild Card playoff spot. In addition to the 16 regular season games, a Superbowl Team will win 2 or 3 playoff games (depending on their ranking in the playoffs) and the Superbowl itself. This year's Superbowl is game #20 for the Colts and game #19 for the Bears.

Most people consider the top two quarterbacks to be Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

The best quarterbacks of our time are Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. You won't be able to pick up on what they do just from watching one game, especially if you can't appreciate the skill of their opponents. If you're looking for an exciting quarterback, I'd check out Michael Vick or Donovan McNabb. The San Diego Chargers are probably the most exciting team to watch at the moment.
