χριστοφερ, even though you have provided some research studies. They have all failed to identify the "gay gene" or prove ppl born gay.
As for your twin studies, the concordance for homosexuality was only 30%. The 30% has been further criticised on the grounds that (1) homosexuals with gay siblings are more likely to volunteer for the study (2) identical twins may receive different hormonal levels in the womb due to "twin to twin transfusion syndrome"
Brain studies
(1) William Byne found no statistical significance in the diff. in brain sizes between hetero and homo men.
(2) neither could a cause or consequence relationship be developed to explain any seen differences.
S. LeVay himself says that he has not proven people are born gay or that it is genetically determined.
Chromozonal studies:
have been inclusive with later studies failing the results of early studies.
Birth order theory:
Connection between increased antibodies and homo is only 20%.

Most scientist agree that it is unlikely that there is a single "gay gene" and it is more likely the result of an interaction of genetic, biological and environmental factors.
I do not deny that certain individuals may be predisposed to a homosexual preference but every study has failed to prove someone is BORN gay. Social and psychological factors must be main causes.

Why do I care??
I care because homosexuals in my country may soon be asking for the right to get married and adopt kids. Well, if they aren't BORN gay then it must be otherwise influenced. I prefer to identify the cause precisely before putting my vote for kids to be placed with a homosexual couple. Voting blindly is what gets idiots elected and stupid things done.

Yes, people are born gay.
Here are some examples of some scientific studies that show that being gay is biological and genetic:

Although it shouldn't matter it does to this guy! So study a little nature vs. nuture.
Take a look at some twin studies. Minnesota twin studies are great (and no not the baseball team).
Then look around and open your eyes a little. It is pretty much common sense. How many dads are floored when they find out their sons are gay and cannot understand it because "that's not how I raised him".
Finally, learn what empathy is and maybe how to encorporate it into your life. Become empathetic, a whole new world may open up for you.

our current spectrum of recognized sexuality in contemporary western culture is based on a system called the binary sex system which declares that there are only two sexes. This is a system of thought, it is not the only possible system of thought. If I told you that there were as many sexes as there are human bodies, what would that mean for sexual orientation and things like "homosexuality" "bi-sexuality" or "heterosexuality"
So, do I believe people are born Gay? I believe it is possible for some desires to be biological, however, I believe that human sexual orientation, all human sexual orientations are socially constructed within the concept of a binary sex system that does not make sense in light of the vast spectrum, the continuum on which human bodies and sexes exist. ^_^

Here is your proof. I had feelings for females at a VERY young age even before I ever knew what gay/lesbian meant. I didn't think it was possible for two people of the same-sex to be in a relationship. So that's how I know that I was born a lesbian.
