Yes. You can try Princess Mononoke.
I think that one of the Harry Potter movies shamelessly inspired for the forest filming scenes from this movie. Definitely was so. The final forest scenes with Harry pOtter noticing someone in the woods were inspired from this little manga.

Do u know Gundam? It's mecha (mechanical robots) series. Many characters, heroes, heroines, setting, story & setting. Usually they set in different time. Produce by Sunrise.

Another robotical series is Neon Genesis Evangelion (manga, anime, OVA, live action-in production). it's though. The theme, strory and characters conection need to be put in the deepest of ur thought. produce by

If u don't like robots, daily life theme would do in Azumanga Daioh (tv series) tells about highschool life of a class of gals with tons of jokes. Ouran Host Club (Manga, anime) tells about a host club in a high school. There's another with romance by , Kareshi Kanojo no Jijiou (abbr. KareKano).

I'm also a big fan of final fantasy and I believe most people are on the right track.... Hmm... I would have to recommend Chobits, Elfen Lied, Ayashi No Ceres for starters. If you cannot find these on dvd, try downloading eps from Limewire or Bearshare - they are the easiest way to access anime that I've found.

:-) Good luck and happy viewing!!!

Any studio Gibli films i.e: (English titiles)
Princess Mononoke
Kiki's Delivery Service
My Neighbor Totoro
Nausicaa of the Wind Valley
Castle in the Sky: Laputa

Or any of the Lupin III films.

Or the Akira film.

Grave of The Fireflies is also a must-see but its incredibally sad. Be prepared if you're going to watch it (im really not kidding)

My Favorites

Akira- "What did you people do to my head!?"

Metropolis- " My father is... Kenichi"

Sprited Away- "...it's just a dream...it's just a dream...go away...disappear..."

Steamboy- "Shoot me and you'll send science back fifty years. But you won't stop it!"

Night on the Galactic Railroad- (no quotes) This anime is a bit unknown
to the average person because it is very controversial; deals with death, religion, science, ect.
