I have no idea what happened, was too busy talking it was that boring. i agree with you, it is a rubbish film

Fans of the game will enjoy this film. Critics should be impressed with the set design, effects and cinematography; but I'm afraid most of them will miss the boat entirely. As far as a game to film translation, this is one of the best ever made.
There are scenes in the film that are direct recreations from the game. Sounds, music, colors and even meticulous set design that pays homage to the game series. In as far as a horror film, there were scenes in this movie that are incomparable. Really disturbing, solid moments of horror.
Pyramid Head is this decade's Pinhead. A new cultural icon to be feared, and loved.
Good movie. Keep an open mind, and enjoy. This is one of those films that actually deserves its R rating. Don't take the kids, unless you're into the whole "terrible parent" thing.

Hiya.
Unfortuantly I brought the film before watching it.
Thought it was good in parts.
Abit slow in other parts.
Wasnt really Gory.....which is something i like.
As for the ending.......i certainly wasnt impressed.
I got the impression that mum and daughter are somehow still stuck in the Ghostly reality time. Hence why her husband thought he felt thier pressence in the house and how they were able to open the front door and then he closes it!
Personally I think they could of made a better ending than that.

how can people say it was boring and not gory, i cant beleive it was only a 15, what do films have to do these days to get an 18 cert.
personally i thought it was one of the best horro films last year but then i have completed 2 of the games so maybe i liked it more because of that

I didn't much like the movie, but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as some of the other game to movie adaptations.
The silent hill games (ps2) are absolutely brilliant.

I love the game series, so the movie was kick a/ss! the mother and child at the conclusion end up at purgatory.

That movie had some pretty digusting parts. I think they were pretty much stuck in silent hill for all of eternity. Like they were in limbo.

It was good due to game accuracy but the whole time they were dead. It was about their journey to hell and escape from it into purgatory even though movies aren't suppose to use religious means.
