During The Buddha's entire lifetime, 80 years or so, he witnessed people running into their temples to there Many, Many gods, "in fear," for many various reasons. The God-concept is fear based, began as early as The Buddha's observation of such behaviors from people.

The Buddha's ministry, during the time he shared all his truths, with anyone who asked, and was sincerely willing to learn, lasted about 45 years.

During the years that The Buddha went around in India, sharing his teachings with anyone who was willing to learn,
Abraham was teaching only in the nation of Isreal about the ONE God, YHWH(to the Jews) and ALLAH(to the Muslims).

The Buddha's teaching on the God-Concept being fear driven;& that a creator God does not exist was largely influenced by what he observed himself in India, from the Hindu relgions people - their Many, Many gods.

"Do you think that The Buddha(b4 his enlightenment) may have believed in the ONE God, if he heard of Him from Abraham ?"

he could, but he would still believe in reincarnation and to live is to suffer, and escape from reincarnation is done through his 4 step so nothing would have changed. It's like when Buddhism come to east Asia, people still believe that their ancestor still watch over them from the sky, but the Buddhist text clearly state that people reincarnate.

Hi, I'm absolutely certain that Buddha would have accepted the One God. In fact, Buddha mentions God in His Writings. He refers to God as the "Uncreated". Buddha may have condemned the polytheistic gods that were being worshipped at that time, but He never denied the existence of God.

Like all Manifestations of God, Buddha's message was couched in a language and manner comprehensible to the people of his time and place. The realities of Buddha, Krishna, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, Baha'u'llah, etc. are one and the same. Their messages only differ according to the capacity of human beings to comprehend those messages.

The "Englightenment" of Buddha is comparable to the Burning Bush of Moses, the Visions of Zoroaster, the Baptism of Jesus Christ, the appearance of Gabriel for Muhammad, and the Siyah-Chal of Baha'u'llah. These are all symbolisms to describe one event, which is the revelation of God through a perfect human being, a Manifestation of God.

In this day an age, Maitreya Buddha, the Promised One of Buddhism, has appeared in the person of Baha'u'llah. Baha'u'llah is the Manifestation of God for this era and the Promised One of all religions.

BTW, reincarnation was as ancient Indian teaching that probably derived from animism. This was incorporated by Buddhists into their religion, but I don't believe that Buddha truly taught reincarnation.
