SO many people come on here and as "could I be pregnant?".....well, if you think you are...DO A TEST!

Nobody can tell anyone if they are pregnant or not..if you had sex without using protection, than you could be pregnant.

I was just wondering if anyone else got annoyed by the repetitive questions like these ones...?

I know this is the "pregnancy" section, but I thought it would be discussions about the actual pregnancy, not just the potential pregnancy....

Stuff like is this normal etc.

Yes, so is the people telling people to just take the test. We know what common sense is, but some people don't want to know if they are pregnant more than they want reassurance and some people don't have symptoms or have symptoms that don't sound like pregnancy. Of course it can be frustrating, but also have you seen how many people ask this question as well. It is getting a little redundant. But this is a question forum and as long as there are questions and it is in the pregnancy section we are going to get both opinions.

I agree!

But, I also know where these women are coming from. I was trying to conceive my first for three years before I became pregnant. When ttc there comes a sense of desperation. It's like we were trained from toddlers to make babies. We even carried around dolls when we started walking!

And, when you can't make babies...

It hurts. So, people come on here with the hope that their symptoms indicate a pregnancy. They'd rather ask here because they've tested time and time again only to see a negative...and that's painful.

So. I see both sides.

I also think it's important to retain a sense of reality throughout the whole ttc. And, if your two weeks late, have a neg test, and have pg symptoms you need to see a doc...

And most importantly be honest with yourself.

Yes, I get annoyed, but not so much by the repetitive questions but by the number of young people on here having unprotected sex who are asking! Why do they behave so stupidly? They know better, yet they act irresponsibily anyway, then they freak out thinking they might be pregnant. If they would just use protection or maybe even abstain from sex, they wouldn't have to worry! It really is that simple yet they make it so hard.

I do agree, although sometimes people just want reassurance that other people have experienced something similar- for instance they think they are pregnant, they're late and feeling symptoms, yet the test comes back negative. I relate to the questions like those because it can be confusing when the body says one thing but the little stick says something else. But you are right- take a test, they are so cheap nowadays anyway!

I sooo agree with you!

My 2 most hated questions are....
1.) Am I pregnant?
2.) Which came 1st the chicken or the egg?

Yes yes yes - gold star for you!

Between the "Am I pregnant" questions, the religion vs non-religion debates, the 16 year old prepubescent questions of whether or not this boy or girl likes me, etc -

RUBBISH - all of it.

Give me something with some meat on it -

Cmon people - originality is what we are talking here....

Yes, I agree. Sometimes I will answer those questions sarcastically b/c I'm tired of it! I think a lot of these girls are young, so they should be posting in the teen section.

I agree. However, some of the people asking those questions may be young girls who are unsure, and scared about taking a test, or they may just be naive about their period and things that go along with it.

My advice: Just skip those questions.

No doubt honestly if you really have to ask then just go and read the other answers to this question and spare us from having to skip through to the more serious questions
