I have terrible math anxiety. Since class started three weeks ago, I have been studying harder than I ever have before in an effort to pass this class. It seems to be working- I got an A on my first test. But, I've been studying math to the exclusion of all else-even reading my math syllabus thoroughly. Seems I overlooked the homework assignments and neglected to do it- twice. My instructor will take it, but that's points off. How stupid!

What you did wasn't dumb. It was an unfortunate oversight due to your anxiety. Math anxiety hits a lot of people. Talk to a guidance couselor about finding a math tutor to help you study. Use the time with your tuto to prepare for math class and finish your homework assignments. See if the guidance counselor can help you with resources to address your anxiety issues. Keep a list of your assignments on note cards and check them off as you complete them so you don't have to worry about missing any of them. Hope this helps! I had math anxiety my self. While in college, I took a math class that was taught by a very caring T.A. he was really helpful in relieving my anxiety to the extent that I no longer suffer from it and in fact enjoyed completing math assignments. Good luck to you!

Yea, I'm horrible at math and have probably done some of the stupidest things in that subject possible. I respect that you have the will power to try really hard in something so difficult though.
