It means different things to different people. For some it is prozac. For some it is M&Ms. For others it is just a figure of speech (like a chill pill - though that can also me a real thing, too). Some women feel like Midol or Pamprin are happy pills because they reduce the symptoms of menstruation. I tend to think of a happy pill as herbal capsule or supplements. SAMe springs to mind - it really helped me when I had post partum depression. Kava Kava can also be calming and happy-making. Of course the herbs need to be of good quality and using the right part of the plant - here's where I found the best:
Kava: http://www.mynsp.com/carole/products/guide.aspx?stockNum=405
SAMe: http://www.mynsp.com/carole/products/guide.aspx?stockNum=1845
They also have all natural version of those Lipitor type happy pill/weightloss products. I think the hot ones now are Cortisol and Hoodia, right? I heard them use that phrase on their commercial now that I think of it.
Peace!
