it depends on the firm that hires you or the projects that you are assigned to...most graphic designers start out freelancing until they develop enough of a portfolio to get one of the big frims to look at them...some people are happy freelancing and never get involved in a firm and make a good living...be prepared to have several jobs upon graduation until you get enough experience...unless you were one of the top graduates in your class you will have to pay some dues...

doing just print design....about $30k to $45k MAX, web design would be a little more
depends on where you live...
