i agree, there is more to a person than their sexuality.. society has put this fear in us that those who aren't straight are "different" or weird, or wrong.. this is crap. i have recently discovered my bisexuality.. but that hasn't changed who i am. it doesn't mean i become a sex-craving maniac either. i am still a virgin, it just means i am attracted to more people than i thought..
i still have the same morals, the same hobbies and interests (music, sports, etc), i still have the same friends, and even made more new ones.. i still live in the same home, read the same newspapers, etc...

I find, actually, that for a lot of people, who they sleep with is, indeed, who they are. People find identity in a lot of places, and community in even more. You can make the similar argument- where you are born is not who you are, yet I take strong pride in identifying as an American. Labels are only bad insomuch as they label others (rather than self-labelling) and that they box us in or create separatism or hatred. Otherwise, some people don't need 'em (I envy those people), and the rest of us like to have them. I am definitely not anti-labelist . . . people do have identities based on who they are attracted to. Particularly in a world where we are often marginalized and denied, it's a strong, affirming statement to be able to say "I'm a gay man" or whatever version you happen to be. Not to mention that labels serve the very practical, functional purpose of helping us understand. (For example- a woman who is attracted to men- what we call straight- has an investment in knowing if that cute guy over there is attracted to women or to men or both- what we generally call straight, gay, and bisexual, respectively).
For the people who respect labels for what they are, they can be immensely helpful, in my opinion.

it is not appropriate. human beings are entitled to their own comments, yet once you do no longer trust homosexuality, then do no longer communicate approximately it. it relatively is like asserting "Oh, i do in contrast to cupcakes, so no person else could eat cupcakes" it relatively is straightforward out stupidity. Oh, and human beings can look although they decide for. Like, i'm a quickly female, yet i glance lots like a guy. I additionally understand relatively some very female men. How female or masculine you're has no longer something to do with sexuality. EDIT: I forgot to function, that i don't understand the "gay satisfaction" factor. I understand LGBT expertise, yet no longer the full satisfaction factor. I recommend yeah, it relatively is large in the adventure that your pleased with who you're, yet we don't choose parades and floats to coach it. i think of the reason all that got here to be is with the help of the fact human beings wished to coach that we now stay in a international the place liking an identical gender isn't undesirable. I recommend, we get the factor now nonetheless.

It really doesn't. It's just that some people assume that if you like this then you're that. There are a lot of closeminded people out there and they just delight in showing off their ignorance.

Some people (notably fundamentalist theists) have problems with gay and bisexual people. Because god says so.
