So the cell phones in Japan do all that stuff. Fine. But when was the last time your ordinary Joe figured out how to _do_ that stuff? At the moment, the hardset thing is the simplest: make a damn phone call.
Apple's entry into the cell phone biz has less to do w/ what the phone can do. After all, a lot of phones out there do the same things the iPhone will do: make/receive calls/txt msgs, surf the web, take decent photos, play music. What the iPod brings is that Apple sensibility, the ability to do all those things better. If we are to believe the press clippings, the iPhone provides a more intuitive look and feel to communicating.

well, americans can't get japanese tech in america. we have the iphone, and were quite happy with it. (most of us) i'm not a huge fan, but whatever. plus, sounds like the japanese don't even have to get up. they'll get fat. and it sounds very complicated. all we need a cell phone for is to make a call. sounds like japan has their own robot, not a cell phone.

The iphone is great because consumer are looking some great to replace their iPods with. Here comes a phone + iPods & used by Steve Job, which makes it even better. It is all about marketing. But I think the Motorola E6 Rork could do as much

i dont think it is a cool phone.. at all... so lets say if u were to drop it.. everyone drops there phone... crack.. done.. touch screen keyboards are not gonna last on them.. they will break.. i dont think they are a really reliable phone.. just my opinon though
