"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!"

OR

"When life hands you lemons, make lemonade!"

If somebody is going to say something "cutesy" like that to me, I'd rather they just not say anything at all.........

Yeah, I usually reply with "mind your own effin business!". That usually shuts up their perky azz.

Yes, people who are too cheerful all the time are annoying and should get their butts kicked. Office Space illustrated that point so well. It's a monday today and I'm in a cubicle. At least nobody has said anything to me today even remotely cheerful. How the &#$%*&$% are you supposed to make lemonade anyways?

Well, my thought is: tie the knot - around their neck; put the lemon up their nose. The result should maybe cheer you up a little...if not, they're sure not talking anymore! Even worse, I hate the jerk who goes around saying 'smile!' rrrrrrrrrrrr

Or, "You'll feel better tomorrow." How the tweet do THEY know that? I had a really bad day last Friday and I did NOT feel better the next day as one of my co workers suggested i would. I didn't really feel better till last night. I'd rather be left alone unless I initiate the convo!

I agree. That annoys me to no end. It's like god forbid you have a bad day or something. I just want to smack people like that. Especially today. My monday is not going very well. I will be glad when the day is over.

Some times others mean well but they don't really know how to go about it,so they try to make light of the subject. and when your looking for a positive answer it doesn't help.but i just would skip over those ones and look for something better.

I got a "Someones got a case of the mondays" this morning. Good Office Space quote but it was annoying to the people in the movie and it annoys me too.
